Ghanaian gilrs playing ampe
Ampe is a game that originated in the African country of Ghana. It is played outdoors. 10 to 12 players play the game. It is a game that helps develop co-ordination and agility. The game is mostly played by girls.
How the game is played One player is chosen to be the leader, and the others stand in a semicircle. The leader faces player1 at either end of the group. The leader and player1 both clap hands. Then they both jump in place at the same time. After this, they jump and thrust one foot forward. If both of them have put the same foot forward, the leader is out and player1 takes his place. If they have thrust a different foot forward, the leader moves to the next player and the routine begins again. A point is won every time the leader is successful. Every player takes a turn as leader. The one who scores the most points wins.
