Computer games

A computer game is any sort of game that is played using a computer.
A game is said to be a "computer game" if it is played on a computer. A "video game" is played on a computer that is specially designed for playing games only (e.g. Playstation console).

A computer game that requires a connection with the Internet to be played  is called an online game. A computer game that does not require an internet connection is called an offline game. Examples of offline games are games that are played using a CD-ROM.

Most computer games are designed for one player or many players (multi-player play). Many video games are designed for many players, too, but who are at the same place and all of them looking at the same TV screen.
