Making Word Trees
 A word tree
This activity is designed to help you build your vocabulary. A large majority of English words are borrowed from other languages, among them Greek. By recognising roots from these languages and learning their basic meanings, you can increase your vocabulary tremendously. Your task is to create a school exhibition displaying your findings.
Class A - Greek Number System Do this as an activity:
Click on the icon on the top menu and go to the section called "Greek Number System". Choose a number (e.g. pente). Then research words containing this root or stem and make a list of as many words as possible, noting the word's meaning. Finally, create a visual display (diagram, drawing etc.) of all the words you have found for your root in the form of a tree.

Then research words containing this root and make a list of as many words as possible, noting the word's meaning. Finally, create a visual display (diagram, drawing etc.) of all the words you have found for your root in the form of a tree.
